One of the first LGBTQ+ romance novels to end with its main characters relatively happy, The Price of Salt was written by American author Patricia Highsmith, better known for the mystery novel Strangers on a Train. The novel follows the relationship between Therese and Carol, two women who meet in a department store and develop feelings for each other. Jisoo mentioned this literary work on a broadcast in 2017, much to her fans’ delight. The article also presents the recommendation as an expression of the K-pop idol’s goodwill toward the LGBTQ+ community. Image: Jisoo’s Favorite Books (BLACKPINK) — 5.
