About NUGUBOOK

누구책NUGUBOOK

A small bookshelf, with a note for you.

I hope someone else’s book leads you to a story of your own.

To the reader who found this bookshelf,

Hello. I’m the person who made NUGUBOOK. I love books, and I built this little site and run it on my own.

When someone I admire talks about a book, I find myself wanting to open it too. A title in an interview, a thought shared in a video, a sentence that stayed with someone. I started gathering those small discoveries here so I could come back to them.

You’ll find books connected with K-pop artists, actors and other public figures. You might arrive because of a familiar name and leave curious about a book you hadn’t heard of. I’d be happy if this bookshelf helped that happen.

There are now 228 people and 794 books here. I’m adding to this bookshelf a little at a time.

I leave the source beside each story.

A short quotation can make you want to hear the whole conversation. That’s why I keep a link to the interview, video or article alongside each story, with its date when available.

Quotation marks hold the person’s own words. The surrounding description explains what happened. I try to keep the two clear, so you can read the story and follow it back to where it began.

Books find their way here in different ways.

Some were recommended, some were read, and some simply appeared beside someone. The labels on each source help tell those stories apart.

Recommended
A book the person recommended to others.
Read
A book the person has read or is reading.
Mentioned
A book the person named, discussed or read aloud.
Owned
A book identified in the source as belonging to the person.
Given or received
A book the person gave or received as a gift.
Seen with
A book that appeared with the person in a photo, video or article. It doesn’t necessarily mean they read or recommended it.
Written by
A book the person wrote or co-wrote.

One book can have more than one label when the sources tell different parts of its story.

Make yourself at home.

Start with someone you’re curious about, or let a book cover catch your eye. If you’re unsure where to begin, I’ve left a few suggestions in the reading guide.

If something seems wrong, or there’s a thought you’d like to share, write me a note. I’ll read it with care.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you find a book you’ll be glad to have met.

With thanks,
the person behind NUGUBOOK
