Luda, who has loved books since her school days, brought along the manga My Universe Is Still Far Away by Japanese manga artist Miri Masuda, which she read on a fan’s recommendation. Luda introduced it by saying, “The scenes where Tsuchida, a bookstore clerk, speaks in monologues about the thoughts that occur to her as she observes customers, family members, and others are impressive.” She was moved by how it asks about the meaning of life amid ordinary everyday moments.
