Sumin: The book I always recommend to you Sweeties as a book for life is ‘Hector and the Search for Happiness (François Lelord).’ It’s the story of a journey taken by the protagonist, ‘Hector,’ in search of ‘true happiness.’ I’ve read this book about five times and even watched the movie. The people ‘Hector’ meets on his travels all have different ideas about what happiness means. When I first read it, in middle school, I hadn’t yet thought deeply about happiness, but this book made me think, ‘Maybe happiness can play an important role in life.’ It has a lot of really good lines, too. And these days, I also feel that there’s no need to treat ‘happiness’ as something special. (laughs) The time we spend talking like this could be happiness, and the life I’m living itself could be happiness, too. But it’s exhausting if you keep trying to find it somewhere far away. I think happiness is just what’s always by my side.
