Sumin: A sweet person gave me We Need to Talk (Celeste Headlee) as a gift. It’s about language habits, and reading it helped me realize what I was doing wrong when I spoke. It also made me want to change some of my habits. It was a really helpful book, so I often recommend it to people around me. After reading We Need to Talk (Celeste Headlee), I wanted to study conversation skills more, so I also bought Nonviolent Communication (Marshall B. Rosenberg). Since it covers professional communication techniques, it’s difficult, so I can’t read it for long at a time. I’m reading it little by little, chapter by chapter. I’m a radio DJ, you know. I tend to get nervous and I’m a bit shy, so I need to have a good back-and-forth with the guests, but I feel like I’m not very good at conversation yet. Feeling frustrated, I’m studying through books, at least. I’ve found that when I study something I want to learn about in depth through books, I understand it more easily and remember it for a long time.
