“God, this is not an illusion but a true, faithful answer from You. From now on, I will live not as Kwon Gi-beom of the world, but as a holy child of God!”

On the first night after entering a detention-center cell, Bumkey casually picked up the devotional book *Living Life* from among the many books and opened it to a random page. To his amazement, that day’s devotional Scripture passage—2 Corinthians 5:17—was printed there.

“When that exact verse appeared before my eyes among the tens of thousands of pages on the shelf, I had no choice but to collapse completely before the presence of the living Lord. It was supernatural confirmation that ‘God is dealing with me right now.’”

With his heart completely humbled, he entered the detention-center room and absent-mindedly picked up the devotional book Living Life from the shelf, opening it at random. At that moment, a shiver ran through his entire body. Right in the center of the randomly opened page was the verse from 2 Corinthians 5:17 that his wife had written in a letter to him. “When that exact verse appeared before my eyes among the tens of thousands of pages on the shelf, I had no choice but to collapse completely before the presence of the living Lord. It was supernatural confirmation that ‘God is dealing with me right now.’”

And a few days later, on the day I was finally ordered detained and was being taken to the detention center, I picked up a devotional book called *Living Life* that was stuck in a corner of the hallway and opened it to a random page. There, alongside a small picture, was a verse from Scripture.
